Kaiji Tsukamoto, born in 1912 and died in 1990, was a renowned Japanese ceramist and Living National Treasure.
Coming from a family with more than 200 years of tradition in the manufacture of Chinese Dingyao-style porcelain, Tsukamoto immersed himself in the world of ceramics at a very young age.
After the war, his research on Chinese Song Dynasty porcelain won him numerous accolades, cementing his legacy in the history of Japanese ceramics.
